Treats Within Your Calorie Budget
I talk a lot about moderation, which is key when it comes to treats. Also, our decisions have to align with our goals. So if your goal is to be as healthy as possible, these might not be your best option. But, if your goal is to maintain your weight, and still indulge in a cupcake experience, you can make some simple swaps to save yourself a lot of unnecessary fat and calories.
MINI CHEESECAKE CUPS
Any sugar-free, fat-free Jell-o Mix
I like Vanilla or Cheesecake (but there are many flavors). You can use other brands or ones that are not sugar free, but just remember to account for those calories.
3 cups of cold fat free milk
Graham cracker crumbs or graham crackers
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
1 can of Readi Whip fat-free whip cream
In a medium bowl, combine 1/3 cup butter, 1 ¼ cups graham cracker pie crust and ¼ cup of sugar.
Mix well and separate into 6 cupcake holders, pressing firmly into the bottom and sides to create a stiff/hard surface.
Place in refrigerator.
While crust is setting, mix sugar-free Jell-O.
After it has blended, add 4 servings (4 tbsp) of fat-free Readi Whip to Jell-O and place in the refrigerator to set.
Do 15 minutes of squats, planks & crunches, or just some nice relaxing stretches, while you wait. ;)
Take both the Jell-O and the cupcake holders with the crust out of the refrigerator.
Fill the cupcake crusts with Jell-O and add 1 serving of Readi Whip to each, and enjoy your low calorie sweet!
